IN Business, Serenity spaces Make  Money!

Business owners and managers are finding out that creating serenity/rejuvenations spaces for their employers is a sure way to increase profits. Employees who have a place at work where they can go to briefly relax and relieve stress:

  • Have fewer accidents

  • Take fewer sick days

  • Are more creative

  • Have more enthusiasm

  • Get along better with others

  • Have a more positive attitude toward work

  • Demonstrate greater company loyalty

Henry David Thoreau:

Perchance the time will come when every house will have not only its sleeping-rooms, and dining-rooms, and talking-rooms, or parlor, but its thinking rooms also. And the architects will put it into their plans. Let is be furnished and ornamented with whatever conduces to serious and creative thought.

Let me help you design a private space at home or work, indoors or outdoors, where you can go to unwind, find peace, and connect to Nature...a place for exercising, meditating, yoga, studying, contemplating, or just plain relaxing.

The major problems in the world are the result of the difference between how nature works and the way people think.
~
Gregory Bateson

We are dysfunctional socially and environmentally because we are cut off and isolated from the world of nature and the natural.
~
Albert Gore, Nobel Prize winner, Earth in the Balance

About my services as a Serenity Space Consultant

The Myth

Truth

1

It’s too expensive.

As a Serenity Room consultant, I can work in any price range - from spending a few hours freshening up a room with what you already own to complete upfits.

2

I can do the project cheaper and faster myself.

As a Serenity Room consultant, I can help prevent costly mistakes as well as use sources only available to the trade to keep costs under control.

3

Anyone with a “flair for design” can decorate.

As a trained  Serenity Room consultant, I have the education and work experience necessary to produce a professional result.

4

A designer will impose a style that does not reflect my personal taste.

It is my commitment to  incorporate your taste and lifestyle into the design - after all, YOU are the client.

5

Designers only pick colors and furniture.

As a Serenity Room consultant, I do choose colors and furniture, but they are just suggestions. You make the final decision based on your personal preferences and attractions. In addition, I can plan your space, incorporate lighting, and specify finishes that are appropriate for your space.

6

Designers only do big projects.

I am a Serenity Room consultant who works on a space by space basis, which may involve a simple project like hanging art, assisting with color selections, or adding relaxing elements only.

7

Designers will sell me a bunch of stuff I don’t want.

As a Serenity Room consultant, my main main goal is to meet YOUR needs through planning and analyzing the space which may or may not include replacing or adding new pieces. Foremost, it is about creating an atmosphere that appeals to your many innate senses, not just the obvious ones, such as sight, sound, and touch.
