Human reason reveres war more than human life. STOP THE KILLING NOW! |

It is a fine thing to have
ability, but the ability to discover ability in others is the true
test. |

What about those with unsettling intentions and my relationship to them? Well, knowing they just don't get it makes me care about them even more. Maybe it's the strangling wads of hate in their guts that makes me want to love them the most. It seems the ones who are wound the tightest need love more than anyone else. What if they were loved unconditionally? I bet they would start being nice just because of the good feelings that come from being loved. I've seen love transform the rankest weed into a lovely flower. And to instigate such a metamorphosis puts me right there inside another's heart. ~ j.cb '04 |

I grew up around rich and powerful people, and found I really liked keeping company with the poor. But only the ones who would have been rich and powerful had their timing, luck, or life circumstances been just a little different. |

THOUGHTS ON HUMAN BEHAVIOR ~j.cb '06 We have been conditioned to take a manipulative posture toward one another. We have had an unquenchable need to prevail over others instilled in us by our parents, educators, government, employers, and others. We seem to be driven to exert power and control over others and to always come out on top. And we do this because it somehow makes us feel better for a little while. Our most irrational interactions with others, including wars that we fight, nation to nation, are rarely for any other reason than to give ourselves a brief psychological boost. We really should find another, more productive, longer lasting way to make ourselves feel good. This current way causes way too much trouble. NEGATIVE FLOW OF ENERGY When we succeed in exerting our dominance over another person, we drain energy out of our victim, which keeps us going until a new victim can be found. The only problem with this system of getting energy is that it never ends, and victim after victim is required to keep us going. What if we were to start getting our energy from some higher source? LOVE FOR LOVE'S SAKE We have been taught to belief that love is conditional on 'RIGHT' behavior. For example, our parents told us they would love us if we behaved ourselves. Our teachers told us they would love us if we got good grades. Our employers told us they would love us if we did a good job. What if love isn't
conditional at all? What if the universe if filled with a limitless
supply of positive love that is ours for the taking without any
conditions at all. COINCIDENCES Take coincidences seriously...there might be something spiritual operating in everything we do. Everything that happens to us has the seed of a message for us to learn...perhaps the answer to a long-sought problem. Examine all things for the benefits inherent in them. DRAMAS If you encounter someone who is trying to draw you into one of their dramas, RUN! They do not mean to do you any good, and they might even hurt you.
