* EcoPlace is located in the Columbia River Gorge,  Skamania County, SW Washington State near Portland, OR and Vancouver, WA.

* EcoPlace is less than 30 minutes east of Portland's International Airport, (PDX) and Vancouver's Pearson Air Park

* EcoPlace is a 2-1/2 hour drive south from Seattle/Tacoma area.

* EcoPlace is near the Columbia Gorge locations of Cascade Locks,     Hood River, Stevenson, Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, Multnomah Falls,    Bonneville Dam, Bonneville Hot Springs, and the Gifford Pinchot National Forest.

* EcoPlace is nestled along the energetic, eternal Ring of Fire with Mt, Baker, Rainier, and St. Helens to the north, Mt. Adams to the east,  and Mt, Hood, Mt. Jefferson, and Mt. Shasta to the south,

*  EcoPlace is dotted with erratics, which are huge boulders that were swept  from their places in a series of Ice Age floods that originated in Montana, and carved the Columbia River Gorge. These early visitors are now permanent throughout the surrounding forests. Rest your hands on these moss-covered monoliths and they will conjure up images of their tumultuous journey down the Columbia thousands of years ago.
